I painted this
body of work around the same time I was working for Gamblin Artists Colors.
I was already intrigued by light, and how it plays over space. These works
are thickly painted in oils, and I spent quite a bit of time in the attic
studio space I was working in. It was a dark room, lit by a crude lighting
arrangement. It was a dark rainy winter that year in my memories, but
I kept fueled by my fascination of color and light.
